Reservation

Reservations can be made directly on the website or by contacting us. A 20% deposit of the total amount is required when booking a vehicle. The remaining amount (80%) is to be paid on-site when picking up the rental vehicle. It can be paid by PayPal, Orange Money, Wave or in cash (€ euro or CFA franc). Due to high demand, we suggest you book as early as possible.

How can I pay ?

 It can be paid by PayPal, Orange Money, Wave or in cash (€ euro or CFA franc).

Once the reservation is made, you will receive instructions on how to get to our agency. Simply take an official taxi at the airport exit and show them the document. We will settle the fare once you arrive at our agency.

In case of cancellation, please contact us at least 3 weeks before your departure to receive a full refund of your deposit. If you cancel during the 3 weeks before your departure, you can use your deposit for a future reservation.

What is the amount of the security deposit ?

The amount of the security deposit is €2000 (1.312.000 CFA francs).

We have implemented an online deposit system with Swikly.Indeed, many travelers do not have checkbooks or do not wish to have a sum of money blocked on their credit card limit.

Rest assured ! The Swikly deposit is neither debited nor blocked on your bank account.

We will send you a Swikly deposit permalink branded with Africa Camper Expedition before your departure, where you will need to enter the necessary information to set up the deposit

For all bookings with Africa Camper Expedition, you will need to provide your passport, your country’s driving licence (you do not need an international licence), and cash for payment.
The minimum age for driving Africa Camper Expedition rental vehicles is 21.
Africa Camper Expedition rentals are for a minimum of 2 days.
Departures are from 9am on the first day of rental (contact us according to your arrival time) and returns before 12 noon on the last day. We are open 7 days a week, all year round. If you are 2 hours late, we will charge you for an extra day. If you wish to extend your rental, please contact us as soon as possible to check availability.
In the event of a fine, the amount corresponding to the fine will be deducted from the security deposit on the day the fine is received. Please inform us of the fine on your return.
In the event of an accident, do not move the vehicle, even if it is obstructing traffic, and call the police or gendarmerie, who will draw up an accident report.
(The person at fault pays 15,000 FCFA to the authorities for drawing up the official report). Take as many photos as possible. 
The next step is to find a garage to repair the vehicle.
We will contact the insurer. If you move your vehicle, you will automatically be liable.

Where to sleep ?

We drive on the right-hand side of the road in Senegal.
You can go anywhere in Senegal. Be careful, though, as some roads are difficult to access by car, especially during the rainy season. We will advise you on the most suitable routes for your tour. It is not possible to cross borders with a hire car.
You can refill water tanks at petrol stations free of charge (it is advisable to leave the coin) or at wells in the villages.
You’ll find toilets at campsites, petrol stations, supermarkets, restaurants and in the countryside.
It is not possible to cross land borders with a hire car in Senegal.
Our opening hours are from 9am to 6pm. We advise all our customers arriving at night (after 6pm) to spend the first night in a hotel close to the airport in order to rest from the journey and collect your vehicle the next morning.

Once on site

Yes, we’ll give you a detailed presentation of how the vehicle works.
We’ll also give you all our advice and answer any questions you may have.
On your return, please return the vehicle without any rubbish and in the same condition as you received it.
In addition, rental vehicles are rented to you with a full tank of fuel, so please return them to us with a full tank.
We ask our guests to leave their kitchen utensils clean.
We will clean the sheets and blankets ourselves.
